Reos vs dscout

dscout captures moments. Reos keeps listening.

dscout is excellent at in-context research: diary studies, mobile missions and its own pool of Scouts. Reos has no diary studies. It is built for the customers you already have - AI and live interviews on every plan, the tickets, calls and emails they already send, and analysis that checks every claim against its quote.

The honest take

A moment in context, or the whole story

dscout is built to catch people in the middle of their day. Reos is built around customers you already know, and everything they tell you between studies. If your question needs a diary, dscout is the better tool.

Choose dscout if...

  • Your question needs a diary or field study: people capturing moments over days, in their own context, on their phones.
  • You need participants you don't have yet, from dscout's own Scouts or its partner panels in 16 countries.
  • You need HIPAA or HITRUST, or AI-moderated interviews in more than 12 languages.

Choose Reos if...

  • You research your own customers and want the panel, outreach, scheduling and consent in one place, on every plan.
  • You want AI-moderated interviews on every plan, next to live sessions and the tickets, calls and emails you already receive.
  • Your research data has to stay in the EU, and you want analysis across projects with every claim checked against its quote.

Between studies

dscout asks for a moment. Your customers are already talking.

A diary study is the right tool when you need to see a moment you can't ask about - the kitchen at 7am, the shop aisle, the commute. Reos doesn't do that. What it does is keep listening between studies: every ticket, email thread, call recording and interview lands in one place, next to the research you planned.

  • Prompted moments, in dscoutScouts answer missions on their phones over days. Hard to beat for context, and it starts and stops with the study.
  • Everything else, in ReosConnect Intercom, Front and Gong once, and new tickets, email threads and call recordings flow in as they happen.
  • One place to askInterviews, tests and the stream sit in one repository, so a question about onboarding sees all of it.

AI interviews

An add-on in beta, or on every plan

dscout launched its AI moderator in April 2026. Its help centre calls it an open beta, and it needs the Dscout AI package. In Reos, AI-moderated interviews come with every plan, priced in the same units as everything else. dscout's moderator speaks more languages: 26 to Reos's 12.

  • Run them tonightHand the AI moderator your guide and run sessions in parallel, listening in live on any of them.
  • Priced like everything elseAn AI-moderated interview is 2 units. Researcher includes 12 units a month, Team 60 and Scale 300.
  • Live when it mattersOr run the session yourself, hosted in the browser with silent observers, recorded and transcribed.
